Gaia Education is a Scotland-based, international provider of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), with a particular focus on community-led initiatives. We have been active in 55 countries and offer online and face-to-face trainings, policy advice, curriculum development, and development projects.
We take a holistic, four-dimensional approach that adds ‘World View’ exploration to the other dimensions of social, ecological, and economic sustainability. This extra dimension proves transformational in empowering change agents all over the world, who become passionate about leading their communities to regenerative lifestyles through joy, inclusivity and practical solutions.
Through our long-term Project-based Learning Programmes,, where we partner with organisations that work directly with those most vulnerable to Climate Change, we have had the opportunity to work with thousands of inspiring women from the Global South.
Our role in these projects is to provide potential female community leaders with:
- Community-led Gaia Education Design for Sustainability training
- Participatory leadership and advocacy training
- Agro-ecological farming training
- Social Entrepreneurship opportunities
